Mr. Banzhao was poor when he was young. He often read books late at night when it was quiet. One evening, the moonlight was bright and the chirping of insects could be heard outside his window. Sitting alone by the lamp, Mr. Banzhao held an ancient book in his hands and softly recited its words. Although his voice was soft, it was clear and full of charm. Suddenly, someone outside sighed, “This child studies so diligently; he will surely accomplish great things in the future.” Hearing this, Mr. Banzhao felt grateful and worked even harder.
Years later, Mr. Banzhao indeed achieved fame and success, becoming a renowned scholar. However, whenever he thought back to that incident, he still felt deeply thankful. He once said, “The way of learning lies in perseverance. If not for my hard study during those cold nights, how could I have attained today’s achievements?”
