Sunny
Today was an exciting day! We had our first science experiment in class. It was all about making a simple volcano using baking soda and vinegar. Our teacher explained how the chemical reaction between them creates carbon dioxide gas, which makes the "lava" bubble up and overflow.
I worked with my best friend, Lily, to set everything up. She poured the vinegar into the bottle while I added food coloring and the baking soda. When we mixed it together, the reaction happened so fast that it surprised us both! The "lava" shot up high, and some of it even splashed onto our table. We laughed and cleaned it up quickly.
After the experiment, our teacher asked us to write down what we learned. I realized that science is not just about reading books but also about doing fun experiments like this one. I can't wait for our next science class!
Bye for now,
Amy
