We eat dumplings, which are very delicious. After dinner, we watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV. It has many wonderful performances, such as songs, dances, and funny skits.

On the first day of the new year, people visit their relatives and friends. We give each other red envelopes filled with money as a sign of good wishes. Children are especially happy because they can get lucky money from their grandparents. We also set off fireworks to welcome the new year. The bright colors in the sky make the night beautiful.
